GILDING & GILDED HENNA TATTOO

Gilding a a term used to describe the application of colored gels or glittered pastes to a henna tattoo. Gilding can be applied while the paste is on the skin, or after the paste has been removed. See more images in the gilded henna photo album.

Gilding is temporary & will last as long as you do not wash the colored gel. Some gilding is done with theater quality powders. A good example of golden powder is in the image to the left.

The black color you see is henna paste on the skin, the diamond effect is a glittered gel as is the silver. The red/orange color is finished henna tattoo.
