HENNA POWDER - Out of Stock This Year.

These photos show the fine lines & rich color possible using first quality henna powder. Fresh & fine henna powder gives the best result. I am seeking a new supplier as my 2010 crop did not give me good results.

The deep red color seen at left was achieved with a mixture of super sift Jamila henna (2009), lemon juice, my henna tea blend & essential oils.

FRESH SPICES for HENNA TEA

One of the secrets to dark henna color is a spiced tea added to the henna paste. My tested herbal blend has been perfected to ensure a stringy henna paste that gives you deep rich henna tattoos. Henna tea, once brewed, can be frozen for later use.

*Dried Limes, Red Rose Petals, Cardamom, Turmeric, Cloves, Coriander, Paprika, Fenugreek Seed & Orange Pekoe Tea are the fresh ingredients used to make the tea.

HENNA PASTE RECIPE FROM SPIRIT VISION HENNA TATTOO

HENNA PASTE RECIPE- WHAT YOU NEED TO GET STARTED:

  • Brewed & Strained Henna Tea ( available above )
  • Fresh Henna Powder (Jamila works best for this recipe)
  • 10 drops Essential Oils Blend (Tea Tree, Lavender, Geranium, Clove)
  • Fresh Lemon ( organic )
  • Small Metal Bowl
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Tea Strainer
  • Mixing Spoon
  • 2 Teaspoons Henna Tea
  • 3 Drops of Pomegranate Juice concentrate

My Henna Paste Recipe:
In Small Metal Bowl Combine:

  • 2 Teaspoons strained Lemon Juice
  • 2 Teaspoons Henna Tea
  • 3 Drops Pomegranate Juice Concentrate
  • 1 level Tablespoon of Henna Powder

Stir ingredients together until mixture is smooth. Scrape any paste or powder from sides of bowl. Form lump of Henna paste in center of bowl. Stir paste again. Cover bowl with plastic wrap. Let paste rest for at least 8 hours in a warm place. (I let my paste rest overnight - outside in the Florida summer.)

The next morning add:

  • 10 drops essential oils blend

Let paste rest for at least 8 hours in a warm place. This recipe makes at least one cone of henna paste, plenty for a henna party. Excess paste may be refrigerated and used with good result for up to 48 hours. If you have too much left over... it's easy to wrap & freeze your henna cone for later use.

If the paste seems too thick to you, add strained lemon juice, a bit of espresso, henna tea, or more essential oils until it is the consistency you prefer. I find that a more liquid paste.. past the "soft peak" stage .. works best for fine line henna tattoo.
